Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1
Application Submission
When you fill out your application, we will ask some questions during the online application and require you to upload professional documents and certificates. Please be ready to upload PDF copies of professional qualifications and registration (or a valid license to practice). You should also submit professional education certificates such as ACLS, PALS, ATLS, PHTLS, or others relevant to the role. If you have visible tattoos, detailed pictures, a description of meanings, and English translations will also be required.
- Stage 2
Application Review
After you submit your application, you will receive an email confirmation from Pinpoint. Our team will review your answers and submitted documents to confirm your qualifications, experience, and eligibility for the position. We might contact you requesting additional details or clarifications before deciding if we can accept your application to proceed to the next stage.
- Stage 3
Personal Interview
The personal interview is a live videoconference call with one of our recruiters. During this interaction, we offer additional insights into the job and explore some questions and scenarios to learn about professional stance and personal traits essential to succeed in the job. Communication skills and personal presentation during the meeting are in focus, as well as the ability to elaborate on our questions and prompts.
- Stage 4
Technical Interview
The technical interview is a live videoconference call with one of our doctors, nurses, or paramedics leading the interaction. Your professional skills are challenged with clinical scenarios and questions to demonstrate the necessary abilities to provide the best clinical practice and outcomes in the approached subjects. Our interviewers are experts in their clinical areas and have shipboard experience with our organization. They will report your interview details to our hiring management team.
- Stage 5
Outcome Review
All the selection stages are eliminatory, including this one. We will obtain professional references to support a final review of the application. When those become available, the hiring manager will review your application to determine an outcome. This stage's length will take into consideration our immediate hiring needs.
- Stage 6
Conditional Offer
When your application is a good fit for the job, we will extend you an offer of employment with one of our brands. We assign new hires between Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Princess Cruise Lines, and Seabourn at our discretion, depending on operational needs. You should contact us directly with questions or concerns before you decide upon your offer of employment.
- Stage 7
Pre-hired
If you agree with and formally accept our job offer, you will start the final stage before joining. Your employment confirmation will be conditional upon completing all the onboarding steps until you physically join a vessel. This includes holding a valid passport and travel documents (including necessary visas), a valid Medical Fitness Certificate, Vaccination and Disease Screenings, and required Certificates of Competency (or training) and satisfactorily fulfilling background checks. Our team of experts will assist you during this process.
